Refund Policy

  1. Event Ticket Refunds

1.1 Refund Window

Refunds are available within 30 days of the original purchase date, provided the request is made no later than 14 days prior to the event, whichever comes first.

Refund requests made after 30 days from purchase will not be accepted, regardless of the reason.

1.2 How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, email us at committee@hocog.org.au with:

  • Your full name
  • Your order confirmation number
  • The reason for your request

We will process eligible refunds within 10 business days. Refunds will be returned to the original payment method via Square.

1.3 Non-Refundable Circumstances

Refunds will not be issued for:

  • Requests made more than 30 days after the purchase date
  • Requests made within 14 days of the event
  • Failure to attend the event
  • Incorrect ticket type purchased (please contact us and we will do our best to assist)
  • Change of mind after the refund window has closed

1.4 Event Cancellation by HOCOG

If HOCOG cancels an event, all ticket holders will receive a full refund regardless of when the ticket was purchased. We will notify you by email and process refunds within 10 business days of the cancellation announcement.

1.5 Event Postponement

If an event is postponed, your ticket will remain valid for the rescheduled date. If you are unable to attend the new date, you may request a full refund within 14 days of the postponement announcement.

  1. Ticket Transfers

If you are unable to attend and are outside the refund window, you may transfer your ticket to another person at no charge. Please email us at committee@hocog.org.au with the new attendee’s full name and any dietary requirements so we can update our records.

  1. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in this Refund Policy limits or excludes your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. If an event is cancelled or significantly changed, you are entitled to a remedy regardless of our policy.
